Health Tracking Scale Measures Air Quality

The new Smart Body Analyzer by Withings is a high tech wi-fi connected scale which tracks your weight, body fat, resting heart rate and air quality!

The scale, which is unconventionally designed to be placed in the bedroom where we spend the majority of our time at home, is designed to get you living a healthier lifestyle with ease. With the ability to exchange information with many different smartphone apps, your able to streamline your fitness regime and easily keep track of your progress online.  

By measuring room temperature and carbon dioxide levels, the scale will bring poor indoor air quality to the users attention. It will even present graphs via smart phone to show at what times through out the day carbon dioxide levels are highest. The idea is to encourage people to start living a healthier lifestyle in general instead of being focused solely on weight loss. 

While this is certainly not the solution to most indoor air quality issues, it does show that more focus is being put on the relationship between the quality of the air we breath and our health. This is great news as the effects of poor air quality in our homes and offices are not something many people pay much attention too.
